Our research group studies the Earth processes, rural-urban sustainability, land use & climate change impacts, and human migration. We combine environmental and social science approaches to work on actionable science and policy relevant research.​

Welcome to:
Gayatri & Binisha, who are both masters students in Geography; Rocco, an undergraduate researcher who is majoring in Geology and Sarah, an undergraduate honors student majoring in Science and Humanities.

NSF funded an EAGER award (2024-2026) to investigate the environmental and climatic determinants of Valley fever in Texas. Our group is collaborating with Dr. Sandip Pal (TTU, Department of Geosciences), Dr. Jennifer Head (University of Michigan, School of Public Health) and Dr. Scott Van Pelt (USDA-ARS).
Our group is looking for a fully funded PhD student to start in Fall 2025. More detail about the open position is here

NSF funded a RAPID grant (2024-2025) to study post-fire aeolian transport. Our group is collaborating with Dr. Branimir Segvic (TTU, Department of Geosciences) and Drs. Scott Van Pelt and John Stout (USDA-ARS).


Happy trails to group members Nusrat Jarin (MS in Geography and Environment) and Travis Clark (BS in Geography and Environment) who are off to graduate school in California and Ohio.
